Three roumers I must tell you about and they are just roumers! The Bassmaster Classic will be moved away from New Orleans in February!!! Jerry McKinnis is trying to buy them out!!! And BASS is broke, bankrupt and is belly up!!!!!? Most times you can git anything out of a roumer but meat frying and money janglin.

There is an Avon product out that is citris based that will keep yellow (deer) flies off of you. This has been a bad year for them.

The cold weather we had last winter was not the first in our area. In 1818, at Fort Scott, it was bitter cold. In 1861, the Confederate Soldiers in mid-August had a white frost. In the winter of 1887-1888, people froze to death in their homes near New Orleans.

Many Bream has been taken this week on Crickets. There is beds by the hundreds in the shallows between the Creek and the Flint, also the Indian Mounds and on the west bank or A.C.I. bank. Pam Martin-Wells, with her mother and father, Stephen, Jody and guest had 300 Bream in their boxes Thursday.

The Hybrids have quit schooling in the air, but are still in the area. Some were taken trolling Traps and Little Georges.

Bass fishen has been very slow most of the week until Friday when some folks pullin’ Carolina Rigs hittem’ good. They were intending to fish the Media out of Spring Creek Park or the Tackle Tournament out of Trail’s End.
