Since last Sunday, I’ve talked a great amount of time to Bill Allen on how he caught the 12.72 lbs bass. He sed he was site fishen & dropped his Mann’s Jelly Worm into her bed, she picked it up and ran off the bed and as he set the hook, out it came. She ran ran rite back to bed. He continued to fish her in the bed & then about the 4th cast she took it again, this time he took her good fashion.

Then we talked to the gentleman from Valdosta who took the 10 pounder on Monday.

He was worming in about 2 feet of water when she took the bait, in that same strech of shoreline, he & his party took 2 at 6 lbs. & 2 at 5 lbs. with a lot of buck bass to boot.

The best crappie fishen this week was done in water hycene patches, they stand up & drop a minnow in the holes in the mat. Another way to do that is to push your boat up on a heavy matt, then clean out a hole with a long handle tater rake, let it settle 10 to 15 minutes, most times you’ll hit a jack-pot.

Mr. Ray Davis had 23 big crappie in the grass on minnows, very shallow water, another boat reported 25 big crappie taken in less than 5 ft. of water.

Mike Prindle had some nice Bass on swim baits. Paul Tyre took two young men from Canada fishing on Friday. Alexander and Oliver Petrela from Toronto came down with their grandfather, Herbert, who lives in Boca Raton, FL. They had a great time and caught a mess of Big Bass. Alexander caught one that weighed 8 lbs. +.

Bobbie Smith won the B.A.S.S. 6 man team tournement out of Seminole Lodge Saturday with 24.00 even. It then dropped to 23 & 18 lbs. Several 5 & 6 lbs. were taken.

The Rose City Bass Club fished out Sunday with following results: Donald Culverson took 1st with 16.55 lbs, Bill Wisner took 2nd with 13.85 lbs. and Robby Hardy took 3rd with 13.1 lbs. Big fish was 4.90 lbs.
