Going into my 81st year, I find that I pray more, not for myself but for others. On November 30th, Miss Joyce and I was married 57 years. I still like to kiss her like I did when she was 18. Kissin’ her and praying is a lot alike. I’ll never get enough of them.
Thanksgiving week has been a rite good week, but let’s look at the winter and ducks. We do not have lots of ducks as we normally have. We may not hold ducks this year as the floods coming down the Flint and the Hootch has not let the hydrilla grow, but winter, in my opinion, will come very hard in January and February.
Tony and Brenda Taylor took 23 Bass Saterday on Rattletraps. Twice they had on doubles, up to 6 lbs.
Richard Predmore took 17 Bass up to 7 ½ lbs. on Carolina Rigs on Sunday morning.
Jug fishen paid off for Smokie Wilson’s family Sunday morning. He took a 47 lbs. Blue Catfish. That ain’t a record, but it’s a dang good Catfish. They had 4 or 5 others over the long weekend.
Eddie Ditto took an 8 point buck Saterday, nice and fat, so threw some very smooth talking, I got a promise of some backstrap.
We had folks staying in the campground hunting the WMA. One young man hit one and missed another. Some folks has taken 5 deer to fill up there freezers for next year.
We don’t live in Florida, but it’s not right to have so much saltwater fishen and not have a single Congressman on the board that regulates saltwater fishen, while California has 7 Congressmen setting on the same board. “Taint Rite.”
