By Golly, I got to flex my Fly Rod arm this past Saterday morning rite at daylite. A friend of mine let me fish his pond for Bream. Jackson my grandson was with me. He was using a cain pole with a cork on it, at times we’d have 2 on at the time. The Bream ranged from 3 fingers to 6 fingers, 3 of mine had to be handled with a towel on the dock. Not one time did my bug hit the water that one didn’t hit it. I wernt fast enough to stick some of them but I’m gitten better. We had 40 when we got to the house.

Many Bream, Catfish and Crappie was taken this week. Even with the hi winds and thunder storms most every day we have had about 3 ¼ inches of rain from 4 clouds. That’s not bad when some areas are bone dry.

2 boats reported 6 Stripers taken mostly on Live Bait. They should be easy to catch now that the water is heating up.

The summer time patern is on now in the lake, the top is hot and down about 10 feet. Its cooler than 70˚, them Bass like to be comfortable. So do we, so fish that depth with Plastic and see what happens.

The Hydrilla Gnats fished out of Wingate’s on Sunday with Sean Neel taken first with five fish weighing 9.80 lbs. Paul Tyre took second with 5.44 lbs. and Mike Prindle third with 4.40 lbs. Big fish was caught by Mike Prindle and weighed 4.40 lbs.

Now that shooting Mullet is legal in Fla. With a bow and arrow, it should be legal in GA to shoot Talapia the same way. We need the DNR to tell us if that fish is a rough fish, game fish and if its legal to gig them.

I hope every one had a great Father’s Day as I did. One father sed his kid and gran kids invited him to take them fishen for his Father’s Day present.
