According to the History Channel, the American people eat 1 million tons of hot dogs a year, that is a lot of hot dogs.

That’s sort of like the Hybreds and Stripers that’s run up behind Jim Woodruff Dam, folks along the catwalk were shoulder to shoulder and everyone taken fish. That was what brought all the pelicans up the river a couple of weeks ago. So much for the Big Fish.

Let’s talk about pole fishen for awhile, many good catches of Bream was made pitchen Crickets in thin grass. They were nice hand size Bream and ate good so the folks sed.

Many Shellcrackers were taken on Wigglers from beds. They were biggens and were hand size, all heavy with eggs. These Crackers are due to bed good and strong for the next 6 weeks. Some comin on, some going off. May term of Superior Court generly determines jist when they will bed, Judge Cato presiding, and he already knows who fishes and who don’t. You cain’t fool him into letten you off, No Sir!

Now what’s been strong all week was Perch, there has been some dandy catches made this week. Bout half on Minnows and half on Jigs, Black with Chartruse Tail. The tail of it may be what makes them take it. One ketch of 44 was jist as big as grows, most of them 18 inches long.

The Catfish showed up in prime fashion all week long. Mostly made on Wigglers, however, there was some taken on Liver and some on Blood Bait.

Now for some Bass info, according to Bassing Times, the 2009 Bassmaster Classic will go to Shreveport, LA, the 2010 will go back to Birmingham, AL and 2011 will be in New Orleans, LA. Not it’s just my guess that 2012 will be back at Hartwell, SC.

F.L.W. was on Lake Wheeler last week giving away a ton of money, our own lake neighbor, Lonnie O’Neal places 7th and brought home 16,000 smackers with 50.7 lbs. of fish for the 4 day event.

Media Bass fished Saterday out of Wingate’s in the rain. Stafford and Holt drug 16.01 lbs. of Bass to the scales with a 6.46 lbs. Big Fish. Lamb and Boutwell then drug up 16.83 to take the lead, then Merritt and Key almost took over with 16.56 lbs. Kirkland and VanShiver drug 16.97 lbs. to the scales to win first place. The Big Fish of Stafford and Holt held up to win.

Nic Jeter fishen Sante Cooper finished 3rd with 9 lbs. of Bass.
