Drought is on everyone’s minds now & it is bad, but here is some facts we’ve just learned.  Since 1971 until 2206, the annual rainfall on Lake Seminole has been 42.7 inches.  However, this year it has been 15.9 inches.  You mite say roughly one third of our rainfall so far this year.  We should be entering our wet season now, it may change but who knows?

Bass took a good turn Saterday.  One boat reported 9 on Plastic & 2 five pounders, 1 four pounder and the rest 2 pounders.  Another boat reported 10 small Bass on Plastic with only 1 four pounder, several other catches of Bass was reported but all of them small.  Many Florida fishing Bass men will be here this coming weekend.  We’ll see how they do.

2 of our local boys were fishing right here in the marina at Wingate’s Lunker Lodge and they caught several nice Bass out there.  Billy (Gizmo) Roton and Robert Rabon, both members of the Hydrilla Gnats Bass Club that is hosted by Wingate’s, fish during all their spare time and they is getting pretty good at it.

My neighbor took a 12 lbs. Flathead on Hook & Line.  He sed it was a close call several times.  He pressed out 2 one gallon bags of filets.  That is a good sized Catfish.  Many other Cats were reported caught when the wind would let them fish.

Bream was the next best bet, lots of Bream was taken on Fly Rods and Crickets.  Some limits made in the early morning hours.

I was asked if we were going to have any Ducks on the lake this year and sed yes, but not yet.  It’s jist not cold enuf for them to come down yet.  Duck Hunters have to get up at 3am, eat breakfast, drink coffee, get to the blinds, set there in the dark & wait til shooting time, then shoot 30 minutes & go home.  But my Lord, them 30 minutes!

To let you know that Alabama is about football, 85412 paid to see FSU and Alabama play last Saterday.
