Seminole Ramlin's September 9, 2007 The Dept. of Natural Resources of GA gets 3.2 million dollars per year to run their dept., also the FL DNR wants more hunters for their state and that’s the reason for the 5,000 permits to hunt Gators in their state. It greatly reminds me of a politition who accidently shoots himself in the foot while trying to get the foot out of his mouth. Hunting and fishen is a sport that is handed down from generation to generation. Deer Hunting, Duck Hunting, Turkey Hunting, , Squirrell Hunting, Dove Hunting, Quail Hunting, and now Gator Hunting, generation to generation as we see it. Bainbridge Bass Clubs fish out on Flint River Saterday was won by Justin Brooks with 11.5 lbs., Cedric Suber placed 2nd with 10.03 lbs., 3rd went to Richard Predmore with 7.52 lbs. Suber had Big Fish with a 4.32 lb. Shoal Bass. Nice catch for the river being in the shape it’s in. The 2 day event of the American Bass Anglers finished like this: Co-Anglers – 1st Place went to Kenneth Hunicutt from Jacksonville, with a 2 day total of 8.55 lbs., 2nd Place went to Bill Poirier from Riverview, FL with a 2 day total of 8.08 lbs. and 3rd Place went to Bill Craig from Defuniak Springs, FL with a 2 day total of 6.68 lbs. On the boater side: 1st Place went to John Sobik with a 2 day total of 15.19 lbs., 2nd Place went to Keith Knutson from Land O’ Lakes, FL with 14.58 lbs. and 3rd Place went to from Lake Mary, FL with 11.66 lbs. Big Fish on the boater side was won by Chris Baker and on the co-angler side Bill Poirer had a 5.61 pounder. All fish were released alive. Mr. Brown & son Clint, won the Bass Pro Tournement of Destin on Lake Talquin. They had 16.5 lbs. and the Big Fish was 7.15 lbs. Bobby Smith had 16.12 lbs. Our Bass fishen here on Lake Seminole has continued to be slow, as one customer sed, “It started off slow and tapered off!” As the water begins to cool off, it will pick up again we think. A deacon of our church seed he took a huge Shellcracker. First fish he caught Saterday morning. He is to feed the Church Catfish on Monday nite, I hope to be there. We continue to see cooler after cooler of Bream, Shellcracker & Catfish come to the dock. We think it will continue another month. 9/11 will be in my mind as a day just like Pearl Harbor, we were pounced on by a fourn country of NUTS who killed many of their own people. Remember Pearl & 9/11 as special dates. Sorry, no pics this week!
