For
a man who had only one bite in ½ a day, Chris Bynum landed
him a 2 ¼ lb. Talapia on a Pond Worm. That is a good
fish to eat.
Saterday
morning at 5:30am, a pickup was
pulled up under the lites at the dock at Wingates. Mr. Stan
Riggs of Columbus, GA had
in the pickup bed a 9.2 inch Gator. Took him with a bow and
after a good while he was able to ease him up to the surface, so
as to use the stun gun.
Blue
Wing Teel hit the lake this past week in small droves. We haven’t
been able to find out when the September Teel season is. It’s
mity hot to get into Duck or Dove clothes.
The
Jr. Bassmasters of Tallahassee guided by 9 of the Big Bend Bass Club
finished something like this: 1. Ben Louwsma with 3.18,
2. Steven Weeks with 1.37, 3. Hayden Bass 1.35, 4. Brock
Walker 1.2, 5. Dallas Tinley .98, 6. Michael Maskevich
.8, 7. Cody Spears .74, 8. Samuel Weeks .0, 9. Edic
Patrick .0. These people do a good job getting kids to taste
the sport of fishen. Michael Maskevich was the Florida State
Jr. Champion at 14 years old and went to Hot Springs, Ark. To
compete for the Jr. National Championship on Aug. 4 & 5, 2007.

boats fished the YMCA Tournament at the Boat Basin Saterday. Jackie
and Brad Hamric led with 20.4 lbs.. They had Big Fish with
a 6.2 lbs. Dave Howell & Mickey Roach had 15.15 lbs. Clint
Brown and Chad Roach had 8.13 lbs. to finish off the leaders.
Huge
catches of Bream were taken on Fly Rods and Wigglers. There
has been a rite smart of Catfish taken on Wigglers and Stink Bait.
