Seminole Ramlin's November 4, 2007 A bit of history past by our door-step this past week. Brigadeer General Tibbets died, he dropped the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshimo, which in effect, stopped World War II. The Hydrilla Gnats Club's 2nd Annual Fund Raiser was held this past Saterday with Andy Koundourakis and Paul Tyre finishing first with 28.69 lbs. of fish. The Big Fish was Will Messery, Jr. with a whopping big 7.79 lbs. of fish. Bainbridge Bass Club fished Lake Andrews, which is between Seminole and Lake Eufalla and was crystal clear. Justen Brooks won first with 7.81 lbs. and Big Fish with a 4.5 pounder. Richard Predmore won second with 4.71 lbs. Peter Barbouie won third with 3.5 lbs. A slow catch tournement. However, that was not as bad as the Valdosta Christian Bass Club's tournament. They fished Seminole Saterday, the winner had 4.5 lbs. of Bass. Many good Crappie were taken this week on Minnows and a few on Jigs. There was one boat had 2.5 gallon buckets full of biguns. You may wonder where day-lite savings time came from. According to some sources, Ben Franklin was asked to comment on a way to same candles. Without much thought, he sed, Change the clocks back in forth twice a year. I declare, the gov-mint does do som misterius things. In my school days, all you heard was consolidate these schools and they did. Today the gov-mint says build schools out in the country so they are. Decatur County has 2 out in the country. Thomas County has one and Gadsden County has one. And sence I'm on the subject, a few years back, AT&T was broke up in little pieces. That's all over and AT&T is the only was to go. As I say, an odd way to act. Some Jim Dandy Catfish has been taken this week. One boat had 4 great big ole Channel Catfish at about 10 to 12 lbs. each. I honestly think that you can catch a Catfish anywhere on Lake Seminole. Paul Tyre, of Tallahassee, FL and Andy Koundourakis, of Recovery, GA with their winning 28.69 lbs. catch in the 2nd Annual Hydrilla Gnats Fundraiser Tournament held out of Wingate's on Saturday
Will Messery, Jr. with the Big Fish from that tournament which weighed in at 7.79 lbs.
