Seminole Ramlin's May 20, 2007 As we walk threw the woods the powerful smell of the Magnolia is in the air, so is the faint oder of the Cataba Tree and the Honeysuckle Vine along with the Elderberry. All contribute to the wonderfull smell in the woods. For 33 years, as I ran my fishen camp for boys, it was a must for the boys to learn to make their minds rule their bodies, not the bodies rule their minds. When the body controls the mind, you can’t stop smoking, nor stop taking drugs, nor can you control the urge to floor board a car, most of them learned to control their minds over the bodies. The Sunshine Bass Club’s Fish Out here at Wingate’s went something like this: Matt Baty won with 18.90, Chris Blackmon had 17.79, and had Big Fish at 4.46 and Buddy Lindsay had 14. A nice day was had if they had only weighed in at the weigh-in station in the “Shade”?. Mid week we had 2 limits of Bass made by an Atlanta boat, one at 12 lbs. and one at 9 lbs. all on Plastic. Some very good catches made all week long. Not so big, but good stout heavy fish no less. We have had good catches of Hybrids made on Spoons and Plastic. Those things eat good fried up and with onion bread and sliced tomatoes. Bream on beds has showed up near everywhere, Crickets is the thing and just today, Sunday, Willow Flies are out up river with loads of Bream getting at them. Mr. Davis has had a limit of Perch most every day this week, mostly on Jigs. The Hydrilla Gnats had their Club Tournament Classic on Lake Seminole on Sunday out of Wingates with the following results: 1st Place – Paul Tyre & Wes Floyd with 15.81 lbs. 2nd Place – Chris Neely & Sean Neel with 11.12 lbs. 3rd Place – Mike Prindle and Billy Roton with 10.49 lbs. 4th Place – Andy Kounderakis and Brian English with 10.35 lbs. Big Fish – Paul Tyre and Wes Floyd with a 5.32 pounder.
