Seminole Ramlin's March 4, 2007 By gosh, if you have been on Lake Seminole this week you would have seen 5 & 6 foot gators by most every boat that went out. They are everywhere. We told you last week that we had a big 12 lb. Bass taken in the Fishermen for the Hungry Tournement, well we have it. The warm balmy weather has made the Perch go on the bed in a lot of places. Black Jigs with a Chartruse Tail will land you a mess fast as lightning. On Tuesday of this week, we saw 7 limits of Specks on Jigs. Mostly with some on Minnows. Wednesday, we had more Perch & then loads of Bass came in, or I should say reportedly, cause most of the folks who were fishen were locating them for the Wingate’s Open which is a 2 day affair. The first day finish was Mr. Rob Newall & Mr. Greg Gaston with most fish with 23.25 lbs. of fish & Mr. Breshnell with a 9.22 lbs. Big Bass. Second day finish was Newall & Gaston in 4th place with 38.98 lbs., Stephens and Johnson in third with 39.31 lbs., Brock & Kelly in second with 40.01 lbs., and in first place, Bush and Reynolds with 40.73 lbs. The Big Fish of the tournement stayed the same, 9.22 lbs. from Mr. Breshnell of Recovery. The picture is of Clint Meeks with a 12 lb. Bass he caught in the Fishermen For The Hungry Tournament out of Wingate’s on February 24th.
