Seminole Ramlin's January 7, 2007 Before I git to Ramlin & forget, congrats go out to John & Ema Lou Clenny of Colquit for their marriage of 71 years and to Mittie & Clifford Davis of Colquit for their 68 years of life together. Those two couple could tell you some history of Miller Co. The Deer Hunters have scored big this week. Two 12 point Bucks and two 8 point Bucks in one day. I should have mentioned that I – 97 took 3 on the bottom end this week. Bass Fishen continues to be slow for the most part, however, a boat in the Creek took 2 limits all small. Then on Saturday, John Hagar from Recovery, GA took a nice big Bass. This past Thursday, Trey Sellers fishen with Russ Rodgers for Specks on Jigs, hooked and landed a 37 lb. Flathead Catfish. The Jigs was on a 4 lb. test line. After a 30 minute struggle the Big Fish was landed. A 30 inch girth & 37 inches long. That may not be a record, but it’s a shur nuff good average. After the heavy rain this past weekend, the Creeks got so muddy Wood Ducks couldn’t swim in them, they had to git out on the bank and walk to where they were going. New Years Day I was on the road to see Raymond Wingate in Shands Hospital, Gainsville, FL. I made up my mind that them folks was “going” somewhere or had “been” somewhere in an awfull big hurry. With more rain oncoming as this is being scheduled.
Russell Rodgers and Trey Sellers of Recovery, GA caught this nice big catfish on Thursday
