Seminole Ramlin's February 4, 2007 The Stren Line Series Tournement 2nd stop is now over and is history. Maybeso a good tournement, but we think maybeso one of the worst. As weather is concerned you will have to say this was the worst some has ever fished when you get fishermen that had to adapt and change their fishen each day. On day 2 it rained 2 inches of water & the sun has not shown itself in near one week. The Co-Angler was Brad Peckrom from Henderson, NC with a Big Fish 6.8 in his sack won a brand new fully equipped Ranger Bass Boat. He had just bought one on the way to this tournement, well he has his old boat the Ranger he bought & a new one he won. He took his fish Flippin & with Rattle Traps. A real nice fisherman. The Pro Fisherman who has lead most from the start, Greg Pugh, who weighed in a total of 58 lbs. for the entire tournement. I was proud of him as I sat by his wife at the weigh-in, with her and her 3 boys like doorsteps. The checks that were paid out at this tournement was in access of $275,000 & the enact on the economy is amazing. Some boats used more but the average boats used $50.00 of gas per day, besides the food & motel rooms rented. Very goodun I would say. Saterday the Backwoods Outdoor Tournement was held at Wingate’s on Saterday. 1st Place went to Clint Meeks & Shane Napier with 17.39 & Big Fish was 5.95 lbs. 2nd Place was Tommy Watson & Mark Smith with 10.10 lbs. 3rd Place went Wes Meadows & Brad Reynolds with 10.96 lbs. A great tournout. The Bainbridge Bass Tournement fished with Richard Predmore winning with 8.5 lbs., Mike Webster had 8.41 lbs. & Big Fish with 4.71 lbs. and Justin Brooks had 5 lbs. From now until hot weather there will be tournements here at Wingate’s every weekend. So call or check the website for info. We would appreciate it. # 1st picture is Brad Peckrom from Henderson, NC who won the Stren Series Tournament on the Co-Angler side and 2nd picture is Greg Pugh who won on the pro side
