Seminole Ramlin's February 25, 2007 You gotta give Alabama credit, they get their money’s worth in the State Patrolmen they hire. I saw one stop 3 cars at once & then on 4 lanes of traffic one stopped a big semi & 2 cars. This was in the edge of Birmingham and in downtown of that city. We had just watched the ladies weigh in on Lake Mitchell, Pam Martin-Wells led the first day with a 3 lbs. lead. We later saw her lead the second day & increase her lead to 4 lbs. She was fishing Spotted Bass, that is a hard fish to catch. You have to set the hook just before he bites. This scribler is setten 9 stories above I-85 at the Birmingham Convention Center for the 2007 Bassmaster Classic. The first day, the 50 contestants brought 45 - 5 fish limits to the scales. The lake is full of Bass. We just saw Pam Martin-Wells win the ladies Bass Tournement. She had to switch from Spots to Large Mouth Bass that last day & she had way more than it took to win. Back home at Wingates, on Saterday, the Fishermen For the Hungry fished out with Al Cleghorn and Clint Meeks winning it. They’ll be back on the 30th of June. We like those folks, they put on a good tournement! The
picture is of Al Cleghorn and Clint Meeks, the winners of the Fishermen
for the Hungry Tournement held out of Wingates this past Saterday.
