Wingate’s Lunker Lodge held the 5th Annual Christmas Parade on Saterday night with over 30 participants.  There was golf carts, lawn mowers, scooters, 4-wheelers, tractors and old cars galore.  Everyone sure has a good time and we are planning on having an even bigger parade next year.  The parade will be held on the first Saterday night of December.  The entry fee is a plate of goodies for everyone to gather and eat afterwards.  See all the pictures from this grand event!

The Crappie shore can’t make up their minds this week.  On Thursday and Friday of last week, they was tearing it up.  Then on Saterday, when everyone could get out in the nice weather and fish, they clammed up.

The Bass fishing was good though.  On Sunday we had some nice ones brought in to Wingate’s.  Mark Hall and Mike Sloan went out and Mark caught a nice 8 pounder and Chris Neely brought in a 6 ¾ pounder.

Deer Hunting is going well too.  Mr. Will Hart and his son got a nice deer and plan on returning in a couple of weeks to get more.

The Buckmaster’s Disabled Hunt that Mr. Russell Smith puts on each year will be held on December 14th and 15th.  There are approximately 15 handicapped hunters who gather to use special hunting equipment and most of them get at least one deer.  Most of the hunters will be staying here at Wingate’s.  We have limited handicap rooms but they didn’t care, they like staying “in the woods”.  I’m not sure but I think they like the food here too.  They are a great group of men and we sure enjoy having them.
