Hunting
and fishing is the only true sports we have on earth today. All
the other sports are played with balls or checkers & chess moves
and those are “games”.
The
Seminole Team Trail Fish Out finished like this had 15.20. The
Bainbridge Bass Club was like this: Cedric Suber had 15.02
lbs. and the Big Fish was a big 7.62 lbs.
The
last of this year’s Fishermen for the Hungry finished in this
order: Robert Tindell & Brad Gatlin had most fish with
18.2 lbs., Hambric and Hambric took 2nd with 16.97 lbs., Big Fish
was 7.46 lbs. by Brian Davis. There was a huge Shoal Bass taken
by Matt Baty that weighed 4.84 lbs. 52 Bass was taken, only
3 died due to a great release boat furnished by Wingate’s Lunker
Lodge and Kelly Brown.
The
Big Bend Bass Club fished out of Chattahoochee Park on
Saterday. Fishing with them was a Jr. Member of the club, one
in each boat. It’s great to see grown men spend time
with young people.
They
remind me of what Abe Lincoln sed, “Strive not to be
a man of importance, but a man of value.”
We
have all week long been covered with Bream, with Catfish coming up
2nd. The Bream and Crackers took all the Crickets and Worms
we had but we got restocked on every thing but Minnows. It’s
so hot that Minnows will die. This is the time of year when
the ideal Minnow is a “Potgut” rite out of the Lake,
the water must be kept at the same temp as the Lake and
out in the sun. Maybe not in direct sun but so as to not change
the color. They are a natural bait and the Perch love them.

Matt
Baty of Bainbridge with a huge Shoal Bass (4.84 lbs.) he caught on
Saturday in the Fishermen for the Hungry Tournament out of Wingate’s
Lunker Lodge.
