Seminole Ramlin's April 1 , 2007 For those of you that care, Pam Martin-Wells caught one keeper fish in practice on Lake Dardenelle, Ark. However, 1st and 2nd day she laid a total of 31.91 lbs. on the scales. She made the cut in 2nd place only to lay one fish on the scales the final day. She finished 5th, that goes to show you that you can’t win them all. The Bass on Lake Seminole has been on a roll this week. So many fish has been taken in the 2 to 3 lbs. class, until a couple of Atlanta fishermen decided that they would take a mess home. Dewey West and Jeff Scails of Atlanta shows a 2 day catch of Bass. They should have a feast on them. They describe it as a “Trip of a Life Time”. Now the Brock family fished again this weekend and did they take a mess of Bream home with them. They pitched Crickets in Shallow water. We didn’t “dig” enough crickets and minnows for the weekend, we were out by 1 pm Sunday but were restocked Monday in both. The Bare Foot Boys from Crestview fished out and had fun, lots of Bass taken. There is at this riten a Shellcracker bed and a Tilopia bed in full swing. The Shellcrackers are in bout 3 ft. of water and the Tilopia in 7 ft. of water. One man reported 17 big Bream on Fly Rods. That is good news. My boat, “Ole Red”, got so tired waiting on me, it broke loose and started out on its own tuther day. Alan and Richards of the Madison County Bass Club fished out with 25 lbs plus of very nice Bass. Sorry, no pictures this week. For more of Jack's writing see his books, available only at Wingate's SR97 Road Naming Ceremony 5/30/2006
