Seminole Ramlin's

October 29, 2006

There is a man in Missoura that has produced a machine that will gash Sucker sides faster than a man can filet them. That would be a handy gadjet to have here in South Georgia. For instance, 167 Suckers were gigged and filleted, a 9 year old boy pulled the sides thru the machine in 20 minutes.

When asked how the morning hunt went, a land owner replied, “Saw 4 Does and a Spike Buck but killed 2 Kiyotes.” He indeed had a good day, 2 of them wild dogs can bring down many a fawn.

Another hunter was asked about his Squirrell hunting and he sed, “35 on an alday trip on Sketer Creek.”

Still another land owner sed he had killed one Saterday morning and looked to kill another Saterday evening.

One Bass Fisherman reported he had several small Fish but one at 8 lbs. Top Water, another boat reported 2 at 3 lbs. & one at 6 lbs. on Spinners. Still another boat had 9 Bass. One at 5 ½ lbs. another boat reported several at 4 lbs. and one at 7. Still another boat reported several at 4 lbs. and one at 5 and one at 6.

Thursday morning a fine mess of Perch was caught on Jigs. The Perch should be doing good now as the cool weather settles in.

You will find the Bream in deeper water now after the cold snap they will still bite, but just off the bottom.

Catfish is still one of the the better biting fish this week. You can use Stink Bait, Wigglers or Chicken Livers. They will all take the Cats.

One man was asking about Frog Gigging at nite on the lake and I told him about the Little Ruby Eyes as he leaves our west canal. He says, “I don’t mind them I just want to gig Frogs.” He sed he had a pic of a Frog that was 18 inches long from Seminole, just the legs after they were cut off the body.

The picture is of Gus and J.W. Goodman, sons of Wingate’s owner Gale Goodman with some of the squirrels they got on Saturday.
