Seminole Ramlin's November 12, 2006 The Youth Duck Hunt got off with a good start Saterday morning on Lake Seminole, Greg Jeter with his sons, Nick and Jake reported a good kill of Ringnecks, Redheads and Weegon. There was lots of Mallards but none came close. The word came through that in Florida, the Gators “were” taken off the endangered list. So now the individual can take care of his own problem. Good idea, wish Atlanta would listen to them. The Dunellen Bass Clubs 1st day of fishen went like this, Jason Moore of Tampa, FL put on the scales 14.13 lbs. with a Big Fish of 7.93. Mike McConnell was second and Steve Patton 3rd. The second day of their 2 day tournement went like this, Mike McConnell 16.49 with a 5.91 Big Fish, 2nd place was Mike Phillips of Dunellen with 16.17 and a 5.12 Big Fish. The rest dropped to 11.0 & down. A great group of people in that tournement. This Big Fish the first day missed a $1600 Big Fish pot by 2 oz. The Hydrilla Gnats Club Tournement held between Spring Creek Canal and the Boat Basin in Bainbridge was won by Mike Prindle with 17.53 lbs and a Big Fish of 5.66 lbs. We again point out that all were just real clean Bass and free of infection. Thinking of the infection, we note that lots of tournements who release fish by running water in tubes back down hill to the water will be stopped. It’s too rough on the fish. A few good Specks was taken on Jigs this week and some on Minnows. We think next weekend will be better fishing than this because it’s hard to catch fish with 2 lites in the sky.
