Seminole Ramlin's

March 26, 2006

Here’s a tip to the site Fisherman past on to me that mite help a person hook a big fish. Always try to approach the bed with the sun at your back, and if possible use a push pole instead of a trolling motor. Enough on that, now to the good news about Bass Fishing this week. Last Monday was a great day, 57 Bass was reported taken that day. On Tuesday, 53 Bass was reported taken, one at 7 ¼ and a 6. Wednesday blew up a storm and cold, only 8 came in. Thursday was another bad day but Friday was good again. A dry drizzle and cold most of the day but a 5 & 3 amoungst others. Our luck may be changing on Bream, 75 Big Hand Printed Bream came to the dock and 20 good Perch showed up to give us a little hope.

The Chattahoochee Library Benefit Tournament “Hooks for Books” took place here on Saterday with a very nice crowd of folks attending. Troy Arthur and Jay Griffen won the event with 21.15 lbs. They also had Big Fish, a whopping 6.60 lbs. The father and son team of Brown and Brown was in 2nd place with 21.08. This will be a continuing thing and will happen again same time next year. The proceeds go to buying new books for the new library in Chattahoochee. A lot of the fish in this tournament was taken on Spinner Baits.

The water temp dropped to 58° but it is building back up fast. With this in mind, Randy Weaver killed a Turkey with a bow and arrow Saterday morning with frost on the ground.

Rob Arnett and Dan Lynch of Kentucky with some nice Bass they caught early in the week.
