Seminole Ramlin's March 19, 2006 This past week has been a Bass week if I’ve seen one. Many limits of Bass taken on beds, “called site fishin.” We have some pretty big Fish this Spring. The only time they don’t ketch fish is when the wind will not let them be still long enough to fish a bed. Tuesday the first Top Water Fish was reported to us. However, with the dogwoods in full bloom the Top Water Fishing should be great. The White Flukes, Buzz Baits, Paddle Tails worked so good til one Fisherman came in and bought an armload of them, all we had. Friday was a great day, a Moultrie boat had 7 nice Bass on a Horny Toad. A Blue Ridge boat had 11 nice Bass, one at 6 lbs. I managed to get out on the Lake and caught 4 Bass in 20 minutes fishen and Allen Carter showed a man 200 Crackers on beds but none would bite. Catfish bit good for a couple of men, also Big Bream and Shellcrackers in deep water. We look forward to a great spring season. Saterday I traveled threw Gretna, Hosford, Telogie and umptine miles of the Appalachicola National Forest past Jim Odam Bridge on into Carabell Senior Center for our Spring Bates Odum Reunion. Our oldest was 99 when she passed but we had 4 who was in their 90’s. I whish that some one would put a road side marker at the Tate’s Hell National Forest sign to commemorate the capture of the last band of Lower Creeks. Tis sad.
