Seminole Ramlin's

June 25, 2006

Prob’ly would be awrite with most folks if one of them 500 lbs. bombs got loose in New York and fell down the New York Times’ Chimney and went all the way down to the basement before exploding????

The Fishermen For The Hungry boated 39 boats with the top 3 in this order: Steve Phillips and Laniv Minix with 22.7, Rick Tindell and Robert Tindell of Leesberg with 21.26, Jackie Hambric and Brad Hambric 20.40 to take 3rd Place. Big Fish was Frank Gorden with an 8.56. Great Guns you guys.

The Lake City Bass Club fished out here with 16 boats and would you believe Michael Bundy tipped the scales at 29 lbs. of bass to win. Their big fish was 8.15. They don’t fish this lake but once a year. That was fantastic in 98 degree weather.

Mrs. Toni-Scott of the Talquin Hookers won their tournement with 15.87 and their big fish was 4.55. Good goin girls.

Now here and now on Seminole the hybrids has been the hot number on Seminole this week. They up’ed and schooled in many places, seems the hotter it gets the better they like it.

One of the fishermen pullen a Crankbait got et by a 30 lbs. Flat Head and the man fought and landed it, to take home. How much stew could I have made on that head?

Bream was the second or 3rd best fish to be had, we saw a ketch of nice Bream Saterday and have a pic of them. They were taken on crickets and beetle spins. A good runnin Spinner Bait is hard for a Bream to turn down this time of year.

Now the question that I ask is why are we seeing slab Speckle Perch in such big numbers coming in on Black and Yellow Jigs? We do well here on Perch fall, winter, and spring but this ain’t spring, its 114 degree heat index at this riten.

The picture is of Mark Pope and his buddy of Bainbridge, GA with one of their nice catches of Bream.
