Seminole Ramlin's February 5, 2006 On Tuesday last 1977 there was snow on the ground in all 48 states, that’s in keeping with the signs of the old 12 days this year “When you here thunder in Feb there will be snow in March”. But Purple Martens are in our area. This past week with all the rain wind & cold a continues stream of Catfish came in, all of them in very good shape. For you syrup makers, jelly makers & other items that is supposed to have a Bar Code on it, go ahead put your label on it, over it in Red Letters print, “NOT FIT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPSHON,”. Twict this week past deer has had me to stop on way to work & let them cross. & Sunday at 12:10 P.M. 7 turkeys made me stop & let them cross the road ahead of me. The Perch has been a hit or a miss all week, some shallow and some deep, some big & some small. Some on Minnows some on Jigs. Very Very upsetting to some Folks. Me included. The Media Bass Trail of Cairo GA had a good showing of people even for the 35° Temp & the wind at about 15 M.P.H. One young man almost froze to death out there with no shoes nor pants on. The results was very satsfieing to me. Ed Wilkerson & Charles Hollister had the most wieght with 24:40 lb & a Big Fish of 6.69, their Big Fish didn’t hold up, Jerry Morrow of Pike Co GA had one at 7.28. Brad & Stewart Reynolds had 18.29.
Jerry Morrow with the 7.28 lbs. Big Fish from the Media Bass Tournament held out of Wingates on Sunday.
