Seminole Ramlin's February 12, 2006 This coming 16th, 17th and 18th will be the B.F.L. Stratus Jarvis out of the Boatbason in Bainbridge. It will take twixt 22 to 32 lbs. of fish to win it and there mite be a ten pounder weighed in. We have been ask if I thought tournement fishing was playing out. My ansure is NO!!! It’s just beginnin’ in my opinion. When 3500 people will show up for a Red Fish, weigh in, and 257 folks show up for a Flathead Catfish tournament. We’ll probly see 50 boats at the annual tournement. We’ll probly see 50 boats at the annual Bream Tournement on Seminole. Bass boats are selling like hotcakes, so is off-shore boats. It is just amazing to me how they are selling, from jon-boats to 33ft. off-shore. We look forward to the Fishing For the Hungry on February 25th and see some of the big catchs that they will make. It’s going out of Wingates. Safe daylite to 3pm. This past weekend we were invited to attend Boyd’s Marine Annual Fish Fry and I had a great time. Met many folks and enjoyed every minute of it. When I checked into the room about 10pm. The pool was lit up and the filters were wide open, but the wind ws blowing and about 35°. You know, they weren’t a dang soul in that pool swimmin’!!! The deer dip, mild and hot was very tastey, you think that stuff and wasn’t good. Man, after about 2 bowls of it, my head was sweating, eyes watering and my nose drippin’. As you can tell, the fishing has been real slow this week. For more of Jack's writing see his books, available only at Wingate's
