Seminole Ramlin's December 17, 2006 From the information that I have been receiving, the Lake is turning over. This is a natral thing that takes place in the late fall & early summer. During this time the fish just take a sad case of the lock jaw. The Landing was graced by the presence of one W.T. “Snake” Womble & one “Tinkerbell” or “High Teck Redneck”. Both have been under the weather & sense they both can catch a Speckle Perch where there ain’t none. It’s good to have them swapping tales around the landing. “Beavers build dams, it’s there nature. Humans build towns, it’s there nature.” We humans are sure building a heap of towns around So. West GA. Catfish has bit very good all week long until Saterday and then they stopped dead in their tracks. Same as the Bass & Perch. However, last Sunday the 10th, Mike Sloan using a Flipping Lure had 22 hits & was able to land 6 with one at 6 lbs. And the Bass Fishermen fishen deep Diving Crank Bait hooked and landed a 17.5 lb. Channel Catfish. Deer Hunting is a wee bit slow due to the hot weather, however, there was a good many taken. Mr. Kory Jones got a 160 lb., 8 point Buck. Ducks has slowed down also due to the heat wave that hit us. We have a nice picture of Kevin Cook and his buddy Steven, with their limit of Ringnecks. They went out with one of our Duck Guides, Steven Wells, on Saterday morning. So much for hunting and fishen. Wingate’s Lunker Lodge had their 3rd Annual Christmas Parade this past Tuesday night. You should have seen all the golf carts, motorcycles and lawn mowers all decorated up with lights. We even had a Jimmy Buffet Christmas theme on one of the rides and a 1949 Willis Jeep painted with the stars and stripes that belongs to Smokie Wilson, one of the owners of Wingates with him and Ms. Jane and two of their grandyoungins ridin in it. We all had refreshments afterwards in the restaurant. We had a great time. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Mike
