Seminole Ramlin's April 23, 2006 First we must give congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Houston of Colquit for 67 years of marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Houston of Colquit for 67 years of marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Wells of Albany for 60 years of marriage and Mr. and Mrs. Hill of Sneeds, FL for 61 years of marriage. Congrats to you all, lots of folks don’t live that long, much less stay married for that long. A tip on weather, when the Swallows skim along the water, it will rain. If they are high and chirpin no rain will come. It’s a fact. The Big Shellcracker Tournement out of Big Jim’s will take place on April 29th. There will be lots goin on that day. We have had Bass caught all week long on many ways. Top water, Sinkos, Frogs, 14 inch Pumpkin Seed Worms and Punkin Seed Lizards, Carolina Rigs were the best for most people. Spinner Baits does good early and late. On Monday, Guide Mike Sloan of Wingate’s took out a father and son, Keith and Evan Andrews, from Quincy and Langhorne, PA and they caught a good mess of Bass. The team of Stewart and Creel of Donalsonville and Jakin took home the most fish award for first place with 23.51 lbs. Harold and Betty Branham of Chipley had Big Fish and 2nd Place. She had Big Fish with 5.73 lbs. Bunting and Bunting of Columbus, GA had second Big Fish with 5.09 lbs. and 3rd Place. Beaver and Beaver, a father and son team was 4th Place and it was the young Beaver’s first tournement and it was a good-un because he got a nice check. The boy who is 14 is most likely ruint for life. These are all the results of the Fishers of Men Tournement. We had a rainy Saterday morning. There was a line of thunderheads that brought us a half inch of rain, much needed. Pam Martin-Wells finished 10th out of 103 boats in the Women’s B.A.S.S. tournement this past week. Congrats to her too! Media Bass will be holding a tournament out of Wingate’s on Sunday. They are a good bunch of fellows getting what looks to be a good tournament series goin. Come out and fish it.
