Seminole Ramlin's April 2, 2006 The big BFL Tournement held this past weekend out of Wingates was a whopping success. Near 200 boats fished, 534 total fish was weighed in and 519 was released alive. There was 61 limits caught. The winner was Richard Mercer of Dothan, AL with 21.5 lbs. and he had Big Fish, an 8.9 lbs. Shane Bush 2nd and Craig Reynolds 3rd. The catch wood have been much bigger than that had a fog not closed in and delayed the take of 2 hrs. You could not see the bow of the boat. We shurly thought it would have been 30 lbs. at least. Mr. Rick Tindell of Leesburg, GA had 17.6 lbs. of Bass to take home a whopping big check. Astin Spurlin was 2nd of Fayetteville, GA. Frank Godwin, Jr. was 3rd. The Co-Anglers caught 287 fish and released 281 alive. 16 limits was caught by the co-anglers. Media Bass of Cairo, GA asked me to announce that they have moved their next tournament off of Easter Sunday to April 30th. The Bass Maxx Tournament that launched out of here on Sunday gave away a Bass Cat boat with a 150 Mercury on it with a trollin motor, trailer and electronics was won by Jim Murry and Craig Chahorne of Ariby, GA. There was 2 Bass at 6.10 lbs. so the Big Fish had to be split. Mr. Murry and Chahorne had 24.12 lbs. of fish. It was a great weekend but the infurnal time changing had everyone up tite.
The picture is of Mr. Brown from Quincy, FL with a couple of nice Bass caught this weekend.
