Seminole Ramlin's November 6, 2005 It just could be that the Hybred Stocking Program in Georgia is over. If the cutbacks in Georgia continues it will be so. The Georgia General Assembly will decide. Acording to G.O.N., 150,000 Geese call GA their home. That’s a lot of honken goin on. Plenny of Wood Ducks this year, however, with this bumper crop of acorns they may scatter all over. We have yet to see the statewide results on the Georgia Gator Hunt. This needs to be printed so as the public can know. It is the belief of this scribler that less than 300 Gators were taken statewide. The fall pattern on the Oklocknee was bleak so far as Bass and Bream was concerned. Few Bream and no Bass. A Bass boat reported to us that the Chattahoochee River was the hot spot this weekend. A boat launched on the Hooch and began casting a Bass Jig, took 10 Bass up to 4 ½ lbs. He cranked up and went back to the landing using 1 gallon of fuel to make that catch. Brock Wells, Airborne stationed at Fort Benning was a guest of his father Steven and his wife, Pam Martin-Wells. In 2 hours Bassing they landed 8 Bass, 2 over 5 lbs. We think that is good since it was in the Flint. Wewahitchtca was the host of the Florida Annual Catfish Tournement when 245 Anglers from 7 states converged on it to fish. The winner was a 43 lbs. Flat Head. I forgot to mention that 22 kids were fishen. Lots of man sized Specks are coming from upriver Saterday on Minnows, some 200 caught. Sounds good. Ed Mullins, Jacksonville Beach, Fla. Fishen with his father from Ohio landed a 7.4 lbs. Bass Sunday morning. Matt Baty and Clint Brown fishen 3 Rivers won the event with 26 ¼ lbs. of Bass one at 7.57 lbs. These kind of ketches will improve as the winter settles in and the temp gets stabilized. We look for the small Perch to get bigger and the bigger ones to bite better. Ryan and Adam Parr, after looking around for a while decided to catch a big fish. One of them was from Texas and the other from Florida. Fishen with your brother, now that’s a good thang.
