The Dunellen Bass Clubs Annual Fish-out on Lake Seminole is over and here is the facks. Steve Patton on overall with 18.79, Bob MacLowan won 2nd place with 17.54. Steve Patton had Big Fish with 6.71 lbs. Bob MacLowan happens to be a two-time Purple Heart winner in Vietnam, bullets in both hips, 2 different times. He sets a while, stands a while and cain’t take the cold anymore. Bob lives in Dunellen, FL to stay warm. Hats off Bob.

Friday before the tournament began a 13 pounder was taken, also a 10 pounder was taken both released alive.

During the whole week the club was here, they reported good ketches of small fish with a few 5 and 6 pounders each day. Thursday was very slow and a frost hit us Friday morning. Sense then it has been mild and very good weather. One of the fishermen tore up 2 nets on his stay here. One sed he only burnt 15 gallons of gas the whole week.

The US Coast Guard has been on the lake this past week. 8 or 9 men in 2 boats searching for loose bouys. They will be back in a month with the big boat to reset the bouys. They will leave some out and maintain the very big can bouys, sorta like the Mississippi River cans that most folks won’t mistake for a stump.

The pole fishing has been slow for the most part from what we have seen. A few Bream here and there, a few Perch on Minnows and Jigs, no big catches any where at all. But that can change for the better. We hope so.

I wish Corene Scott of Leesburg would get better and cook me a coconut cake.
