Seminole Ramlin's October 9, 2005 The Bassmasters 5 Panhandle Division is over now. Christopher Daniels of Florida won the event with 16.14. Bobby Smith of Panama City, FL had Big Fish on the boater’s side while the no boater’s side was won with 5.99 lbs. 11 limits of Bass was caught on the boater’s side while 7 limits on the no boater’s side. Only 3 “0” on the boater’s while only 2 “0” on the no boaters. 2 ladies fished, they both caught fish. 181 fish was caught and released alive. No one hurt and all seemed to have a good time. The Blue Bird day and a chill in the air kept the Big Fish from hitting so the fishermen say. While we are talking about the streaks of luck, 2 of Lake Seminole’s finest of all fishermen, Stewart & Simmons while fishing the “Stratus” World’s Championship on Old Hickory Lake at Nashville, TN. caught 20.9 oz. of Bass and the winner had 20.10 oz. of Bass. They missed $100,000.00 by 1 oz., however, they won a Bass Boat “Stratus” I mite add to bring home with them. Another sad story, one of the contestants on Saterday landed 3 Bass over 10 lbs. The lake is a good fishery and most like to fish it. During the days of Thursday, Friday and Saterday, a guide boat averaged 15 Bass per day up to 7 lbs. each. Now that’s a good catch of fish. Fairly good Perch came in on Jigs in Shallow Water. We think the shallow water will do good this year. There just seems to be a general good feeling by some good fishermen that way. Ray Scott came by and spent the night on Thursday night just so he could eat some of this good BBQ they have out here in the restaurant. When he left he left some books of his here at the store in case anyone is looking to buy one.
