Seminole Ramlin's

October 16, 2005

The overall picture on Bass is slow, most of the folks that went had tough tails to tell about how few they caught. We have to tell you that at this time the Chattahoochee is giving up more Bass than the Flint for some reason. The most are being caught on Plastic with a little top water to go with it.

The Bream and Crackers are few also, most of them are fairly deep but that is most likely a short lived thing as the cooler weather mite jist gittem started again.

The Perch has been very active these past few days and they seem to be in the 6 ft. area. They seem to want Jigs instead of the minnows. Miss Aubry Presnell of Lakeland, FL had a nice catch Saterday noon but would only keep 6 nice ones. 2 of the 6 pushed 1 ½ lbs. Perch.

The Hybreds are ready to go to biting. The weather is right and it will be top water fishen. We are expecting annual migration of the Kaintucks in this camp to enjoy some fall fishen. They are the ones who pack several 2 liter bottles of leaders and only one 20 oz. chaser. We’ll see how they do. They each gain 5 lbs. in the week they are here. The dinners are good, the suppers are better.

Well, we have at this time seen more Teel than during the Teal season. The Coots came in on this past Sundays cool snap. The Ducks will be following the Coots rite shortly. We hope for a better season this year than last year. One has to wait and see how it goes.

One good thing you can bet on is the Bass’s Bellies are full of Thread Fin Shad and the Specks and Bream are full of Grass Shrimp. That we can tell you and hope you fish accordingly.

Clint Brown locked through the Jim Woodruff fishen the Chattahoochee and weighed in 17 lbs. at the Bristol Landing. Nuff sed.
