Seminole Ramlin's May 8, 2005 Now that the GA Gov-mint has decided to side with 6 or 8 other southern states to make me ware a seat belt & I didn’t get to vote on the seat belt and I didn’t get to vote on the seat belt law in the first place, I’ve decided to let our govener git his votes from them other southern states. I may have to wear one, but they can’t make me like it. It reminds me of the flag issue. Somewhere, sometime soon, somebody is going to allow Georgians to vote on the flag, seat belts too. Mr. Scott Blanch of Tallahassee brought a 5.12 lb. Largemouth to the scales Saterday to win the Big Fish, but Carl Jeffery and George Barclay had 14.94 lbs. of Bass to win the most fish. They were fishing the 2 River Club from near Bristol. Some 20 boats was in that one. The youngest team consisted of Brock Wells and Nick Jeter. They did real good too. The Valdosta Christian Bassmasters with 20 odd boats fished out and the first place went to Bob Royals with 14.46 lbs. and Big Fish with 3.74 lbs. They come purty offton to Seminole. Good group of Folks. The Talquin Hookers of Tallahassee fished out on Saterday also and I must bring this up. Mrs. Lonnie Walsh of Coon Bottom, FL (near Havana) brought 16.02 lbs. of Bass to the scales and beat out all the other competitors by 1 ½ lbs. of Fish. She is a good fisherman and a good sports ladie. Sarah Johnson caught fish Saterday for a change. The Tallahassee Twins, Wayne and Craig Colonnas fished here on Friday and caught a 6.03 lbs. Bass. Nice one. Mr. McCain of Cairo had a limit of Bream Saterday. Pam and Steven Wells had a limit of Bream Saterday. Bill Allen and Wayne Parrish had limits Friday and Saterday. Very few fishermen went early Sunday. Mothers Day cut deep into that. Thinking of that, it come to me that Mothers Day and Fathers Day are very much the same. Father has to pay the bill for both days.
The picture is of our newest Bass Fishing Team in the area, Brock Wells and Nick Jeter. Everbody better watch out cause these two have started off good! For more of Jack's writing see his books, available only at Wingate's
