Seminole Ramlin's

May 1, 2005

Mrs. Pam Martin Wells finished 4th in the WBFL on Lake Dardenelle, Ark. She led the field the first day with the wind so hi it was blowing down solid walls of rock and waves were coming in the boat from ever direction. The same wind was blowing the second day. She sed it was not worth the scare.

Looks like all the aids around the world, globel warming, honey bees dying off so crops won’t pollenate. The good Lord won’t have to burn us, we’ll do it ourselves.

When we think of religion we can’t help but think of the Judge Moore; of the 10 Commandment fame in Birmingham who has throwed his hat in the ring to run for Governor of that state. He is right. The 10 Commandments should be in every courtroom, schoolroom, coledge room and city building. I wish him luck.

Late Thurday nite, Russ Rodgers hit a school of Hybrids and Catfish. He loaded up on them, but going home, his light got sick and he was 9:30 giting home, but happy.

No matter what, Hydrilla is in Seminole to stay. Now it’s in Eufalla to stay, it’s in Wakulla River to stay. The drip system did not work on Spring Creek. It won’t work on St. Marks nor Wakulla River. While we are on the subject of Gov-mint, the tests they are now making on the locks of Jim Woodruff was made about ten or 12 years ago to see if fish can come through the locks. Sure they can and do. It can be worked to an advantige by opening the bottom lock, let a small amount of water in from the lake when all the Big Bream come up behind the dam, close off the bottom, lift them up to the lake and let them out.

The Rose City Bass Club had a nice tournement, Donnie Dyson and Kyle Henderson took first place with 24.5 lbs., Smith and Godwin had second with 23.02 lbs. and Jorden and Jorden had third with 15.4 lbs. Smith and Godwin had Big Fish with 5.38 lbs.

This picture is of Mike Sloan, one of the owners of Wingates Lodge and the proprieter of Mike’s Fairly Reliable Guide Service with several fish he caught on Saterday.
