Seminole Ramlin's

June 12, 2005

The Bass is still hitting in Lake Seminole in spite of the weather. Mr. Eddie Ditto showed a nice stringer of Bass this past weekend and was he grinning from ear to ear. Mrs. Pam Martin-Wells did fair to midlin on Lake Ufala last weekend with 4th place again. Mrs. Sarah Johnson has had her fishen license lifted for comin in with no fish again!

A boat from Thomas County had a very good stringer Thursday but all on Spinner Baits. The wind was blowing so hard till a Spinner Bait was all he could feel the fish hit. His buddy, Renegade or Goober was here also.

The newly formed Berrian Bass Club fished out of Wingates Lodge on Sunday with 18 to 20 members all weighing in separate and had a very good showing. Bob Royal of Nashville, GA had a catch of 12 lbs. to take home the top weight and Big Fish. One of the fishermen was accused of dragin his worms between his toes to catch fish. In other words, using Toe Jam as a fish atractor. One man in the club was accused of lying about where he caught fish. Everybody, including his partner, agreed.

We note that the worlds record Blue Catfish was caught in the Mississippi River, 124 lbs. That made this scribler look up the GA record that was set in 1979, 69 lbs. Our GA record on Channel Cats is 44.12 lbs. and for just plane information, Lake Seminole is listed as one of the best lakes in Georgia for summer Channel Catfishing.

The food at the Faceville School Reunion Saterday was so good we blessed it twiced. That’s good food speciily my faverite Banana Cream Cake. The Blueberry Crisp Cake weren’t bad neither.

Bream are still bedding, however, the Shellcrackers are doing very well in deeper water also. We look for Perch and Bream to be good fishing all summer. May Flies are out again and will most likely be good all summer.

The picture is of Grinning Eddie Ditto, new resident of Recovery, GA with a nice stringer of Bass caught Sunday morning.
