Seminole Ramlin's June 5, 2005 One of the big “Boating of the Week” news has been that the Brunswick Corp (Mercury Motors) struck a deal with the Triton Motors and bought them, provided Mr. Bentz stayed on and worked with Triton Boats. It’s a done deal, so the money people tell me. Mr. Bentz doing as usual, letting good people build his Tritons. For the hunting side of the fence, New York State aims to shoot down a new game that allows hunters to kill by remote control. That is fine, but the owner of the ranch that has this facility lives in West Texas and says the only person who has used the range was a bed-ridden quadriplegic from Indiana after paying $1300.00 and waiting for more than a dozen to make a kill. He passed up the one clean shot he had. Folks, it seems the lawmakers of America is still after your guns. Don’t letem havem. If you here tell that some lawmakers has that in mind, don’t vote for them. Just a few months ago I met with a fine group of people on US 90 near Mt. Pleasant, Fla. I believe 20 in all, impaired by paralysis to some degree. One I remember could not move hand, leg, foot, or arm. But his lungs were strong, his father rigged his gun and set it in a vice in a ground level deer blind. Setting in the chair at dawn, in walked a deer. He sucked on the straw his father had rigged and killed his first deer. Watch them folks, they’s folks after your guns. Fishen in general was impaired by the 7 inches of rain we had. Not only Bream, but Specks, Shellcrackers and Bass too. However, here is the top info on the BFL Tournement. 217 anglers fished 3 days and each brought a boat. Wow, what a crowd of folks. Michael Conley of Bainbridge won most fish with 19 lbs. 3 oz. to win total weight. Big Fish Rusty Hatton of Donalsonville had 9 lbs. 1 oz. on the boaters side, he also placed 7th over all on weight with 14 lbs. 9 oz. On the co-angler side, Mr. Robert Dice of Perry, Fla. won over-all weight with 17lbs. 14 oz. Mark Thomas of Chipley had Big Fish with 6 lbs. 5 oz. Po Boys BBQ and Wingates Lodge furnished the release boat and most of the fish went back alive to be caught another day. I must add to this report that 2 ladies fished the anglers side and both got a good catch.
