Seminole Ramlin's

June 26, 2005

Let’s begin by this scribler condemning the Supreme Court for a 4 to 1 disishion to alow cities to condemn and take your home if the city fathers decides it’s better tax wise for a new sub-division, shopping center or city park with no recourse. Thank God our founding fathers (in Georgia) put the state in charge instead of cities. Most other states however are affected by this ruling. In a fast sence of the word, the Gov-mint has overstepped it’s use and this is “WRONG!”, no matter who did it.

Again we need to look at the food we eat, the USDA oversees the food we eat in America and do a very good job, howsome ever, this scribler cain’t help but wonder how the same USDA can over look the same product coming from Mexico, Canada, Russia, India, Peru, Uruguay, Ukraine, Brazil, Chile and Romania. I for one don’t think it’s possible and I think the Gov-mint should confess.

It was Blu-Days at the Landing until Thursday fishen wise. Then, them what went, caught. By noon we had 25 Bass, up to 6 lbs., 5 Bass all small on plastic, then 3 Bass. Stout ones in the Creek are flipping docks.

Bream came in on Jigs, lots of them, then 20 culled Bream came in on Crickets. Then on Saterday morning, a whopping stringer of Bream came in and then the Perch came in on Jigs. Saterday by noon a boat had 45 Catfish and 15 Specks. Russ Rodgers of Recovery here took a couple of grandkids fishen and hauled in a Perch that weighed more than 2 lbs. We also had 8 small Hybrids in one boat and then another boat had 3 Stud Hoss Hybrids. I mean big 5 and 6 lbs. Nuff sed.

The Tri-States Tournament Trail fished out of Wingates on Sunday with Team Merritt and Henderson taking first place with 24.19 lbs. and with Team Roberts and Cleghorne bringing in the Big Fish with 6.01 lbs. While they was out, Steve Creel took his wife out fishing for her birthday with Mr. Ray Davis and they caught a right nice stringer of fish.

For those who are watching the lake close, you will notice an outbreak of fungus on Bass, Bream and Perch in the lower part of the Flint. We hope it is the heat and will soon go away.

The picture is of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Creel of Panama City, FL with their nice stringer of fish caught on Sunday.
