Seminole Ramlin's

January 9, 2005

Miss Joyce got me in a rite sizeable miss this past week. She had me blocked off from seeing Matt Dillon on Gunsmoke for some 3 hours. She got her 6 wheeler lectric chair tangled up in the living room rug while trying to cut the tube on and that chair eat the rug up and choked down. It would not move, I could not move it. Some hours later I got my neighbors to come over and the three of us picked it up, untangled the rug and toted it out to hard floor again. Talking bout a backlash, we had one.

This past Sunday nite ended Deer season in Georgia. This was a good season for some, others however, new nuthing but sour luck. I believe I heard some of the best Deer stories told that I’ve ever heard and that’s the truth.

Friday, Saterday and Sunday the landing here at Wingates was loaded with Bass boats and they were some fine fishen plateforms on the water and the Bass Fishen “Lies” has already started. Lindy Evans and Bob Kenny had a great day Saterday buy having a good catch made on a Buzz-Bait trailing a chicken liver. Evans is fishin in the Fishers Of Men this coming Saterday, while Mr. Kenny will be fishing in the BFL on February 5th.

Now one of the Bassin Gals of Tallahassee, Mrs. Dunn had a neat 5 pounder ona Buzz-Bait without chicken liver. So the Fishen tails started this year just about soon as Deer season ended.

One Tall Tale that is for sure the truth is that a young man from Atlanta hooked and landed a 28 lb. Flathead on a Crappie hook and 4 lb. test line. It took 102 minutes to land that scudder. I could hold him by the gills at my waste and his tail was on the ground. Mr. Weaver has put a lot of Specks on the dock this past week. One showed up with a 2 ¼ lbs. Taint record fish, but a dang good fish anyhow.

I took Ole Red out Saterday showing folks deep holes and got me soaking wet. It rained pert near all day long here at the camp and Sunday the southeast part of the sky was clear whereas the northwest sky was cloudy and overcast. Ran off a bunch of boats. More come to replace them though. Some 20 boats launched out of Wingates on Friday, Saterday and Sunday.

Tri-States will launch here on January 23rd.
