Seminole Ramlin's

February 13, 2005

This past Friday one of the great legends in fishing past to the great pond where the fish always bite and the wind never blows. Tom Mann. Next Saterday the town of Eufalla will pay tribute to this man and I hope to be there.

Meral Kilgore, one of the great legends of music was memorialized at Hendersonville, TN this past Tuesday. I could not go but wished I could. I’d sorta think I need to be with “Thomas Mann”.

A great visit with Forest Woods in Dothan at Boyd’s Marine. He drew such a crowd that it took me near a hour to shake his hand, a great man and a great American.

Friday nite at sundown we were deep in the hearts of Ft. Benning, GA a “pinning” of Jim Yarbourough, 2nd in command of Ft. Benning, who had made Brigadore General as a “Mustang” that means he never went to West Point He was a common man cut from uncommon cloth. A true leader of men.

Saterday nite at Sundown I was at a dinner of Daughters of the American Revolution and Sons of the American Revolution. What a great evening for both organizations.

The R & R Tournement on Saterday was won by Reynolds and Bush of Crestview and Graceville with Big Fish at 8.43 lbs. and most fish at 25.53 lbs.

The East Coast Bass Club of Pooler, GA reported a 15 lbs. catch on Friday and another on Saterday.

The Chattahoochee Valley Tournement was won by Greg Gaston with 20.4 lbs. Harris and Kelly had big fish 6.91 lbs.

The biggest story of the weekend was Mike Prindle who after moving to the second tree in the creek found bass in the scope of 26 ft. of water suspended at eighteen feet. He dropped a Jiggin Spoon down to them and it was taken on the way down, by 10 am. He had caught and culled to 26 lbs. opening his live well to see the deep fish in pain from so deep a catch he released them all. Coming home to park his boat and walk his dog down to his dock, a 8 pounder was on the right side and a 10 pounder was on the left. Both were caught and released. In my Faceville reading, riten and rithmertic hit comes to a total of 44 lbs. there and there abouts some wang dang dilly of a catch.

One last bit of humor I learnt at Church a Sunday or two ago was why did Moses wander in the dessert for 40 years? Cause he was too proud to stop and ask his way. Men won’t stop and ask, women will.

Reynolds and Bush of Crestview and Graceville with Big Fish at 8.43 lbs. and most fish at 25.53 lbs.
