Seminole Ramlin's

April 17, 2005

On the 15th of this month, me and Miss Joyce found out we have too much of the month left at the end of our money. Paying the gov-mint money is like pourin whiskey down a drain, I don’t think they know what to do with it, paying anybody to be lazy is wrong.

There was a group of Kings having a birthday party this past Saterday and I was glad to be invited. Me and Brother Bennie has decided, since we retired, we are 2 weeks behind on most everything and we don’t give a dang about it.

Folks, this is a historic day (Sunday). Jim Merritt and son William Merritt butted heads in the Tri-States and bless you by doggies, William, (who is an Eagle Scout) took 20.44 lbs. of fish and Big Fish of the tournement, to Jim Merritts 15.72 lbs. and 4.68 lbs. Big Fish. That is a father and son fishing against each other. The most weight however, went to Reggie Calhoun, who’s daughter, Britney was sick in bed with the flu. Sorry Britney, git well.

One of the big stories of the day Sunday, was Carl Keim of Bass Island Campground here at Wingates, who landed a limit of Specks and a 9 lb. Bass on Jigs and 6 lb. Test Line.

Buddy Bethea and Edward Giddons of Bay Springs, FL took home 4 limits of Specks and 4 Bass on Speck Jigs. They come every month on the building (waxing) moon, load up every time they come.

Benny Brookins and company loaded up on Bream and Crackers. They do it near every time they come. They say luck and I say skill.

Mr. and Mrs. Barnes of Kentucky shure do know how to fish for Specks. We took a pic of them with 34 nice live Specks on the dock Saterday. They try to come every 2 weeks in the none gnat season. They do good.

3 Bass clubs fished out over the weekend Clearwater of Lawrenceville that was won by Bartwell and Marshell with 24.10 lbs. Their Big Fish was 5.31 lbs. The Tri-States and the McClenny Bass Clubs fished out of Wingates this weekend too, but no weights were given.
