Seminole Ramlin's

September 26, 2004

For them of you what don’t already know, the Corps of Engineers, in a meeting on Friday, announced that they will be forced to close the following launching ramps and parks due to the cutback of funds: Neels Landing, just below the Donelsonville-Boscom Hiway, Reynolds Landing on the west tip of Sealy’s Landing, not to be confused with Spring Creek Park, then Fairchilds Landing up the Chattahoochee and to the east into the back of the cove. The word has been spread, “Why close these while we are building the marina in Bainbridge?” Well, let me tell you this. The City of Bainbridge, within it’s city limits, is maintaining 2 ramps at Cheny Griffen Park, 2 at the Boat Basin and will maintain the one that will be at the Marina in West Bainbridge. The Corps will maintain those outside of the city limits but not inside the city. Nuff sed.

The bridge construction over the Chattahoochee on 84 is in full swing. 5 bridges will have to be built but earth is being moved in a big fashion and piling being driven.

We saw this week at least 500 crows eating peanuts in a man’s field. Some sed it mite have been worms on the peanuts instead of the nuts. Wuz it me with the nuts, I would shoot the first crow, slit his gut open and see what was in it, iffen it were nuts, I would keep shooting. A man has the right to protect what is hissen.

For them of you what don’t know a crow has to live off a man’s sweat, put him 100 miles away from man and he’ll die or fly to where a man is farming.

At this riten, Friday the 24th, the moon has just past it’s first quarter and the full moon will be on the 28th. We just got to have a very good fish biten spell here on Ole Sem.

The Bass has had the most action in 2 foot of water with a White Spinner Bait. The fish are there and they will take a bait. Some folks are still draggin a worm hopin for a hit now and then, I would rather have them hit and tare off than not hit a-tall. Saterday morning 2 fishermen running Buzz Baits took a 7 ½ and a 3 ½ , that’s good anywhere.

2 fishermen Bream Fishen put in and fished the 310 Landing area, dropped a wiggler in and it never stopped. A big ole Shellcracker just oozing eggs was what they had. They left the Lake with a big mess of Bream and Channels for their effort.

The Hybrids and Whites are doing their schoolin bit near the deep water and there is some biguns being caught. Good luck and tite lines.

Sorry no pictures, we haven't had anyone bring any fish in to take one.
