Seminole Ramlin's October 31, 2004 Look what’s happened in Georgia. 1,018,686 acres of land and water wildlife management areas for Georgia folks to fish in, hunt in and just camp in. There is 99 areas so far and each one has it’s own set of rules to go by. Check out the numbers from a book “Georgia Hunting Rules 04-05”. See the rules before you go. Some are for the Fisherman, some just swimming, some whitewater rapids. There is a fee at some, but most are free. There is some 27,000 acres in Decatur and Seminole Counties. Brazel is using sugar cane to make ethenal and has reduced their demand for gasoline by 40%. That is good news, we could use corn in our country. By the way, wonder if we could grind up water hycens and git sugar out of them. For the hunters: The Big Snakes are out and looking for a home. They don’t care whose home it is. Mite be yours. One as big as the hunter is holding up crawled out of my yard and got slam away. Watch your feet and your kid’s feet. Let’s look at a new project just put on by the Florida water people and the Alabama water people. Jackson Lake, a Flo-Ala, Alabama is stratled by the states line. This Lake is not to be confused by the Lake Jackson at Tallahassee. The Flo-Ala Lake is fed from the underground water in the Alabama side and weeps out on the Florida side. Most places is nine feet deep and 6700 acres big. This pool of spring water can be tapped for use in the panhandle of Florida and not dig any more wells in South Alabama for panhandle water. The Bass is coming along real nice now, a boat from Malon had a big stringer. A local boat had 7 big ones with a 6 pounder. Boats in the creek seem to be doing real good. But the best news fishen wise is the Perch is on the move. Lots of big ones, we had a 16 inch Perch caught by the son of one of the owners of Wingates, J.W. Goodman, who was out fishing with his father, Wes Goodman this morning. This dingy water in the Flint is due to the draw down on Lake Blackshear near Cordele. J. W. Goodman with nice catch
