Seminole Ramlin's November 28, 2004 Now that Thanksgiving Day is over and gone, so is Swine Time over, I must say that them guts wuz the best ever. They had me a 48 inch piece cooked together. Not knowing how good they were, I tore off a 12 inch piece for taste only with a little pepper sauce on them. Well, they were so good til I give the mike back to the announcer and set rite there and eat the whole 48 inches of them and if the chittlin barn line had not have been so long, I’d have went back and et some more. Tis truly a fact that when the new Wal-Mart gits open in Bainbridge it stocks life jackets both summer and winter. Some of their stores don’t. There is near as much boating in the winter as in the spring and summer. A good thing happened in the world of communication this week. Dan Rather resigned. It was a shame he could not report the news as it happened like Mr. Walter Cronkite did, he never reported nuthin that he didn’t slant it in some other way than it was mint for. Duck hunting started off very slow but it has picked up a good bit. Saterday morning a good many shots were fired, one boat reported Rings and Woodies came in good, but then the Canvasbacks also took to their decoys. Shooting a canvasback before December 1 is a bad no-no in Georgia. Sunday morning there was continued shooting in the tractor bank area and up the creek. That’s great. Due to the efforts of Buckmaster Magazine there will be a “wheel chair” deer shoot on the 17th and 18th of December on the Smith Plantation with the honorees staying at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Quincy. This was done to coincide with the 2 Doe Days in Florida, since part of the property is in Floriday and part of Georgia. A good deed done. Bass Fishen continues to be slow but lookout Perch. The Perch is biting when the wind is slow.
Richard Predmore from Recovery, GA who won first place along with Jackie Hamric in the Tri-States Classic. He also won the Big Fish prize on both Saterday and Sunday.
