Seminole Ramlin's

March 21, 2004

A Chinese sed long ago, “That man who throw weight around soon find out he don’t weigh much.”

With that line of thought, long ago in Montgomery, AL ridin lectric street cars down Dexter Avenue and up the same street all day long for a dime, you could see all kind of sites. One man tryin to git in the door and couldn’t was told by another behind him to turn side ways. He mite get on that way. The heavey set man turnt and sed Mr. I ain’t got side, I plum round all the way.

Then there was the man sitten across the door and a heavey set ladie trying to git on board, looked at him real hard and sed, “If you was half a man, you would git up and help me in.” He chirped rite back, “Ladie if you was half a woman you wouldn’t need any help.”

For those that mite be interested, there was 112 Rattle Snakes killed at the mouth of the excess water canal of Gulf Power in Jackson, Co. Time for chillin to be looken at their feet when in the grass.

We got it straight from the Hoss’s mouth, there was a 15 lbs. Bass taken last Thursday on Lake Seminole, the Big Fish was released back into the Lake.

Then, Mr. Holt of Colquit sed, the last Fish he caught Friday before the R&R Tournement Saterday had a big woods tick sticken to her back, in water so shallow rite side of a fire ant bed, shaller water fishen I’d say.

The R&R Tournement finished with good results: Big Fish went to James Kelly of Atlanta, a big 7.33, Jerry Simmons, #5 place, the Pearson Brothers of Columbus, 4th place, Rob Newell and Greg Gaston of Thomasville, 3rd place, David Johnson and Terry Stevens of Jackson Co., 2nd place, and Rick Carlton and Jackie Hamric of Leesburg, 1st place with 21.89 lbs.

Perch and Crackers are ready to bed and I saw my first Big Willow Fly today.
