Seminole Ramlin's June 20, 2004 We note with great interest that a local peach farmer had his peach crop took off the market for not having a liscence to spray. Jist wonder though if the same inspectors went to Chile, Brazil and Mexico to check for liscence there. Whuts fair for the goose is fair for the gander. This week I’ve had the pleasure of seeing 2 of the early tournement fishermen, Dick Hulcher and John Fox. Their pictures are on the front page of the Bainbridge Post Search-Lite, back in the late sixties. There was also another in that picture who is credited with starting the Big Fish Catching here on Seminole, Jackson, Miccosuke, Talquin and a few other lakes, Bill O’Conner. He past away this past month. He lived in Albany, GA. It was sed the other nite at a eaten that soon the Chinese will be driving SUV’s and Americans will be riden bikes and mopeds. Ole Sam Rayburn sed some 50 years ago that, “No one has a finer command of the Language as one who keeps his mouth shut.” Someone sed the other day that the Post Office had painted a stamp of a past President, but had to recall it cause they was spitten on the wrong side of it. Eddie Ditto brought in a couple of Big Ole Bass for a picture and took them back out alive. Pat Weber won the Tallahassee Hawg Hunters Club fish out Saterday and the Tallahassee Bass Club winner was Fred Jones with 19 lbs. of Bass. The Valdosta Christian Bass Club fished also but did not report the catch. The Bainbridge Bass Clubs team placed 3rd overall in the Fla. Team Trail out of Seminole Lodge with 71.23 lbs. of Bass. Consoladaded Club finished 2nd with 71.83 lbs. and the Lakeland, Fla. team finished 1st with 80.87 lbs. They also have the largest Bass Club in the nation. Bream will do fair all summer long on crickets. They did this past week. Many kids fishen with their fathers and mothers. Tain’t nuthin like giten a kid hooked on fishen and huntin. We like to see it happen. A few Perch comen in, some on minnows and some on jigs. Most are being taken in shallow water. 4 to 8 feet deep will do it.
