Seminole Ramlin's

April 18, 2004

At the coffee table last week, a person brung up the passage, “Our kids cain’t read the Bible in school, but they can read it in prison.” For you preachers, there is a sermon in there somewheres.

For you folks who missed Uncle Cheeny sang, “Little Red Mule,” you missed a classic.

Here is one for you history buffs. The first perimemiter road around a city in America was built around the city of Thomasville. It’s name was Pinetree Boulivard. It was located six miles from the center of town.

A horse lover pulling a trailor to Texas for a rodeo had two 17 hand horses and when he got past Louisiana them horses was only 14 hands. Rough roads had stunted them 3 hands in passing the rough roads in that state.

This past Friday, a family from Bonifay, FL took home 35 nice big Ole Specks. The same day, Jody Wells took a box of Crackers on wigglers. The same day, a young man 16 years old stood up and pounded the water 8 hours, landing 18 Bass, mostly Spinner Baits.

Late that same evening, we went for the Sundown Fishen and when the sun hit the trees and the gators and frogs tuned up there was big varmints commence to hitting. At one time I just knew a grizzly bear stuck my lure. Thank goodness he missed.

The Clearwater Bass Club fished Seminole this weekend, Mr. Terry Pitts and Bill Graham weighed in 28.5 lbs. of Bass thanks to local information. Their first trip to Seminole. Very good.

The Rose City Bass Club of Thomasville held their annual tournement Saterday with great results. Pam and Steven Wells took third place with 24.6 lbs. of Bass, Kelly and Bird was second with 26.55 lbs. Griffen and Ratcliff took first with 28.28 lbs. Good tournement and good results. Griffen and Ratliff also had the Big Fish with 7.74 lbs. Laid out and released alive.

Richard Ayers took a 12 lb. Blue Cat on Spinner Bait Friday. I et him.
