Seminole Ramlin's

October 19, 2003

Lex Henry of Tallay Hassee with partner Cliff McMillan won their club’s Fish Out on Saterday with 8 plus pounds of fish. That was not a bad day fishen, when the cold front Blue Bird Day last Wednesday turnt the fish “off”. Day one of the Florida 6-man team tournament out of Sneeds Landing was taken by Mr. Smith of Panama City but he ran almost to Newton, GA to fish and his catch was Shoal Bass, but he only had 14.5 lbs. to lead 212 boats. Then on day 2, Ira Forehand of Wewa won it with 20.13 lbs. of Bass. He’s not long had surgery.

Mrs. Pam Wells fishen the WBFL on the Red River Thursday and Friday sed the same thing, Blue Bird Day killed the fishen coupled with a cold front. 22 lbs. won the 2 day event. Mrs. Pam was 5th.

The Rose City Bass Club of Thomasville fished Seminole also and had low results. James Graves and Wormie Cannon won with 10.6 lbs. But as most folks know, cold front, Blue Bird Days and High East winds will stop a fisherman’s clock.

The Perch is likewise very slow for the most part. We only have one person doing good. Maybe 20 slabs in one day.

Last week in East Georgia a club known as PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) broke through a schools security and into the lunch room, where the young kids were fixen to eat. They handed out pictures of the chickens beaing butchered even though the teachers were trying to make them leave and picking up the cards. One was dressed up as a chicken. Now them kindly folks need to be drawed and quartered and fed to the gators. Come to think of it, the gators mite not even eat one of them. Wonder why they don’t protest a gator hunt on Lake Seminole.

P.S. A lady fisherman won 24th place out of 212 boats – that’s a good un!

This first picture is of Clyde Baulkman who won the Fish Out on Saterday at Wingate's Lodge with his partner.

This is Cliff McMillan, Mr. Baulkman's partner
