Seminole Ramlin's October 12, 2003
This past Saterday, it rained all day long and the Bass-N-Gals of Tallahassee fished all day. They were a bunch of wet ladies, but they all caught fish. Mrs. Lonnie Walsh had the most with a limit of 5 keeper Bass. Miss Dunn had the biggen, a whopping 6 pounder. Their lips were blue, hands like prunes and a thirst for hot coffee like you ain’t never seen. The two Dunn ladies are from north of Quincy, Florida. Mrs. Lonnie is from a town called Coon Bottom, near Havana, Florida. We have on the Lake today a fisherman who’s been fishing the Lake 25 years from Louisville, Kentucky. He has made 2 or more trips a year ever since he started. He has boated this trip a 9 lbs., a 7 lbs. and several 5’s and 6’s. Most of them came from the thick grass beds along the Flint. Mr. Eddie Ditto of Tally Hassee had a big 6lbs. Bass Sunday morning. Mrs. Sarah Johnson of Recovery, GA landed a 7 lbs. Bass and a 5 lbs. one in about 2 casts and then a big one tore her buzz bait up. She was still a shakin when she stepped out of her boat. The next best thing we have going on the Lake is that the Specks is doing a good job biting. We have seen some of the very fatist fish to be sure. Most anyone can catch them on a sharp solid grass wall. You can use Jigs or Minnows. They both work well. We all look to a good year on Specks. This scribler wonders deep in his mind, what ever happened to school consaladation? When I was gitten what little I got, consaladation was all you could hear. Well, from the looks of the big new schools in Decatur, Gadston and Thomas counties they are sticken em as fur out in the sticks as they can. The gov-mint can do some fast “U” turns at times. Good luck to the fishermen on the Lake this week.
